William Richard Wiggins

William R. "Billy" Wiggins, aged 77, passed away on July 30, 2024. Billy was raised and educated in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High in 1965. In 1966, Billy joined the Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Myles C. Fox DD 829 in 1967 during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, he settled in Worcester for most of his life. 

Billy was a sweet and loving son, brother, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He had wonderful memories as a youth with his siblings and especially loved the summertime family vacations in Vermont and New Hampshire. Always a bright, adventurous, and studious young man, he wanted to serve his country.

William was the cherished son of the late Delmer P. Wiggins and Dorothy J. Wiggins (Adams). He was predeceased by his twin sisters, Dorothy J. Chella and Shirley D. Wiggins. He is survived by his brother, Edward P. Wiggins of Quincy, sister Linda E. Gavin of Hull, sister Debra E. Scollins and her husband Dennis M. Scollins of Marshfield, and brother-in law, Roger Chella of Weymouth. He will be missed by his family and friends.
