Shirley Ann Hadden

Shirley Ann Hadden (Harvester), age 90, of Weymouth, passed away on August 9, 2024. Shirley was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth High School in 1952. She met her husband Peter at Nantasket Beach and they married in September 1956. Shirley and Peter decided to settle in Weymouth, where they raised their loving family in the Idlewell neighborhood.

Shirley enjoyed camping early on with her family at Westwood Shores in New Hampshire and then in E. Waterboro, Maine where they made many memories spending time on Little Ossippee lake with friends and family. Shirley was active with her many girlfriends and often enjoyed going to lunch and the movies. She enjoyed reading and spent many hours working on her word searches. Shirley was active in the lives of her grandchildren attending their many school and sporting events. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed talking about the games and players with her grandchildren.

Shirley is predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter D. Hadden. She is survived by her loving children, Peter G. Hadden and his wife Sandy, of Weymouth, Robyn Serino and her husband Rick, of Weymouth and Scott Hadden and his wife Christine, of Whitman. Shirley was also loved by her grandchildren, Peter R, Sara, Greig, Jeffrey, Anthony, Tori, Joshua and Nora. She will be missed by her great grandchildren, Hunter, Emma and Ellisan. Shirley will also be missed by her sister, Pamela Ryalls and sister in law, Lois Hadden

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Shirley on Thursday, August 15, from 9-11am, in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visitation, at 11am, in the funeral home. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
