Sarah Murphy

Sarah Murphy, age 91, of Pembroke, passed gracefully into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on August 2, 2024, present was her daughter Laura and Granddaughter Sarah. Sarah was born in Glasgow, Scotland, where she was raised and educated. She was the oldest of 6 siblings who she loved dearly. In 1970 she moved to Massachusetts to give her children a better life. 

Sarah worked as a lead manager for Jordan Marsh in Squantum for several years, before moving onto Sullivan Nursing Home from which she retired. Sarah lived life to the fullest enjoying ballroom dancing several nights a week, she also loved a good sing song with her family and friends.

 Sarah was an energetic and loving woman and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Sarah is predeceased by her beloved husband William Murphy by 54 years. She is survived by her loving children, Maria Valencia and her husband Luis, of Pembroke and Laura McAuliffe, of Pembroke. She was loved by her grandchildren, Jason, Kristin, Andre, Sarah and Brian and her great grandchildren, Taylor, Reide, Aria and Blake. She will be missed by her siblings, Betty McCann, Tony Defelice and Andrew Defelice. Her beloved brothers Lawrence Defelice and Patrick Defelice passed earlier this year. 

Our hearts are truly broken of this tremendous loss of such a vibrant soul may God comfort us in our sorrow.
