Ruth N. Walsh

Ruth N. (Festa) Walsh, 94, of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Massachusetts, died at home peacefully, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Ruth was born in Roxbury, MA. She has been a resident of Pompano Beach for the past twenty two years. She was a graduate of Boston Latin Girls High School and a brilliant bookkeeper for forty years at BIW. Ruth was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Abington Mass Post #5737. She was an avid movie buff and loved trivia and game shows.

Ruthie was the wife of the late Joseph Walsh,  stepmother to the late Martin McGrail and Godmother/Aunt to Michele Barbagallo. She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy E. Lolles, of Pompano Beach, Florida and Joan J. Camillo, of Plainville, MA. She was also sister to the late Jennie Carty, Lee Mantel, Frances Snow, Marie Firenze, Anne Urbaschak, Frank Festa, Ralph Festa and Harry Festa. She was the loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Ruth on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 11am-1pm, at the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visiting hours, in the funeral home at 1pm. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery, in Braintree.
