Ruth A. (Nash) Parry peacefully passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the age of 92. Born on October 15, 1932 in Quincy, Ma, to the late Robert E. Nash and Ellen (Sealund) Nash. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth F. Parry. She is survived by her three children, Marcia Crawford and her husband Robert, of Norwell, Scott Parry and his wife Kathleen, of Duxbury and Mark Parry, of South Weymouth. Ruth is also survived by her five grandchildren, Liana Bilodeau and her husband Mark, of Rockland, Alexander Crawford, of Hanson, Meghan Parry, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Caitlin Parry, of Charlotte North Carolina and Kyle Parry, of Duxbury. She was also loved by her three siblings, Kenneth Nash, of Florida, Carl Nash, of Hanson and Marjorie (Nash) Parry, of Raymond Maine and Oldsmar, Florida.
Ruth grew up in Weymouth where she graduated from Weymouth High School in 1950. After high school, she received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bridgewater State Teacher's College in 1954. After graduation, she taught second grade at the Shaw School in Weymouth. She was married on August 6, 1955 at the First Baptist Church in Weymouth.
Ruth loved reading and was enthusiastic about exercising. She was a member of her local bowling league for many years. Later in life, she and her husband Kenneth enjoyed travelling. One of their favorite and most memorable trips was a four month World Cruise on the QE2. Ruth was a woman of deep faith and was very active in the First Baptist Church of Weymouth, where she was also a member of the choir and then in later years, Community Baptist Church in Weymouth. She and her husband cherished their years working with the Outward Bound Ministry where they had a weekly Bible study in their home and hosted youth hiking and camping trips that impacted the local Christian youth community. They also enjoyed spending time in Waterville Valley and attending the Rumney Bible Conference in New Hampshire.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service for Ruth on Friday, November 1, at 11am at the Community Baptist Church in Weymouth. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 4 at 9:45am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
