Presley E. Foster, age 94, of Derry, New Hampshire, passed away surrounded by his family on September 29, 2023. Presley was born in Weymouth, and raised on the South Shore. He graduated from Weymouth High School, and shortly after joined the United States Army, where he proudly served for three years. He married the love of his life, Marilyn (Cumming) in 1953, and the two settled in Weymouth where they raised their loving family.
Presley was extremely talented when it came to anything related to technology and electronics. He worked for many years as an electronics technician and was often known to tinker with laptops and build televisions for fun. He greatly enjoyed gardening, collecting coins, stamps and Asian artwork. He also enjoyed traveling, especially by train throughout New England. Presley was also a member of the Senior Lunch Bunch Group of Derry, New Hampshire.
Presley is predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilyn Foster (Cumming). He is survived by his loving children, Diane Kerrigan and her husband John, of Warwick, Pennsylvania and Cheryl Ruf, of Brockton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Deanna, Phred, Sheila and her husband, Cesar, and his great grandchildren, Lia and Michael. He is predeceased by his siblings, Grace, George and Richard, and his son-in-law, Kenneth. Presley was also loved by his companion, Grace Cucinotta and the extended Cucinotta family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Presley on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 10-11:30AM, in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St (Columbian Sq) A funeral service for Presley will follow immediately after visiting hours in the funeral home at 11:30AM. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army or to a charity of your choice in Presley's name.
