Philip R. Werth, 61, of Abington, MA, formerly of Clinton, MA passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 16, 1963, Phil exemplified hard work, generosity, and bravery throughout his life.
For many years, Phil was an avid golfer and enjoyed his many trips to Myrtle Beach with his beloved son Zack. He cherished his great friendships made through the years from going to NASCAR races in New Hampshire to playing darts on Tuesday nights. For over eight years, Phil worked as a technician at Radio Solutions in Norwell where he was a mentor and friend to so many. He was a lover of music and enjoyed attending concerts with his countless friends.
Son of the late Robert Werth and Diane Werth (Williamson). Loving father of Zachary Werth of Weymouth. Nephew of David Nesti and his wife Carol of Rockland, the late Elizabeth “Betty” Corey, and the late Richard Werth. Former husband of Kathleen Gile of Weymouth. Phil will also be missed by his nieces, who were all dear to him.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to Phil’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2pm in the Old South Union Church located at 25 Columbian Street, South Weymouth, MA 02190.
Phil’s family will be forever grateful to the nursing staff on 4A at Brigham & Women’s Hospital for the incredible care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Phil may be made to the MSPCA – Angell to recognize Phil’s love of animals.
