Paul H Cottell

     Paul H Cottell aged 76 of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2022. Paul was born in Newton and raised in Weymouth where he attended Weymouth High School. Paul was a union laborer and a merchant marine for many years, he also worked as construction laborer at PA Landers Inc.

     Paul married his beloved wife of 45 years, Margaret “Peggy” Cottell in 1977 and they settled with their two sons, Patrick, and Paul in Weymouth.  Paul was a very talented blues musician and played throughout the south shore at various local clubs. His instrument of choice was the harmonica, but he was also known to play the piano.

     Paul is survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Peggy” Cottell (Leary), his children, Patrick Quinn and his wife Kathy of Randolph, and Paul Cottell of New York, NY. He is also survived by his sister Helen Caruso of Weymouth and her partner Bradford Baldwin. Paul was so blessed by his sister in laws, Helen McNeil, Marie Nista, Kay Skidmore, and Francis Leary. He was loved by many nieces and nephews.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Paul in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, Ma on Monday November 7, 2022, from 4-6pm. A funeral service will take place the following day, Tuesday November 8, 2022, at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
