Patricia R Lawler (Rogers), age 95, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 6,
2024. Patricia, lovingly known as "Pappy" was born in Worcester, raised and educated in
Westborough, graduating from Westborough High School in 1946. After high school, she traveled to
Boston to work in the big city. She was an administrative assistant at Camp Dresser and McKee for
many years and spoke fondly of her time there. She met her beloved husband, Joseph, while
working there and the two married in 1948. They lived in Arlington for a time before deciding to settle
in North Reading, where they raised their family. Pappy moved to Duxbury in 1985 and has enjoyed
living there ever since.
Pappy was an excellent artist. She was especially talented at sketching and interior decorating and
design. She also traveled extensively around the world and was devoted to her children and
grandchildren.
Pappy is predeceased by her husband, Joseph C Lawler Jr. She is survived by her children, Susan
V Lawler, Joseph C Lawler III and his wife Norinne, and William D Lawler and his wife Trudy. Pappy
was also loved by her grandchildren, Kate Henderson and her husband Eric, Tricia Sabulis and her husband
Michael, Joseph C Lawler IV and his wife Maureen, Nicholas D Lawler and his husband Ryan and her great grandchildren,
Liam, Quinn, Hannah, Nola and Isabelle.
Services for Pappy will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Norwell Visiting
