Patricia Ann Lane

Patricia Ann Lane (Gilbin), aged 81, of Weymouth, passed away on October 19, 2023. Patricia was born, raised and educated in Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth High School in 1959. After high school, Pat went on to attend Stonehill College and graduated from there with a Bachelors of Liberal Arts.  Pat met her husband John after college and the two married in 1967, and settled in Norwell where they raised their loving family.

Pat worked as a bank teller for 20 plus years at New England Merchants National Bank and Weymouth Bank.  She loved playing cards and cribbage and was very fond of television shows like Judge Judy and a number of game shows. She and John used to love taking drives together, especially to Newport Rhode Island. She was a member of the Weymouth Bowling and Weymouth Bridge Club. Above all, Pat adored her grandchildren and loved being a grandma.

Pat is predeceased by her husband, John Lane. She is survived by her children, Kevin Lane of Florida, and Shawn Lane of South Weymouth. She was  loved by her grandchildren, Brandon, Allie, and Cody. She will be missed by her siblings, Harry Giblin and his wife, Arlen of Braintree, James Giblin and his wife Nancy, of Halifax, Gerald Giblin and his wife, Joan of Braintree and Edward Giblin and his wife, Leslie of Weymouth. Pat was also loved by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Pat on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 9-11am in the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow immediately after, in the the funeral home. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
