Nikollaq Papingu

 Nikollaq Papingu, age 86, of Weymouth passed away on November 11, 2024. Nikollaq was raised and educated in Fier, Albania. He married his beloved wife, Jorgjie, in 1962 before settling in Fier together and raising two children. He was very dedicated to his family and friends. Nikollaq was always joyful and happy, he truly loved life and peace.

 Nikollaq and Jorgjie came to the United States in 2013 and settled in Weymouth where they have stayed.

 Nikollaq is survived by his loving wife Jorgjie Papingu (Gjini) of Weymouth, his children Klarita Kanani of TX and Dhimiter Papingu of Abington, his grandchildren Jola, Redi, Enxhi, and Megi, and his brother Kela Papingu who lives in Greece.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Nikollaq on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 5-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather Friday November 15 at St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church located at 119 Common St. Braintree, MA for a funeral service which will begin promptly at 10am. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Weymouth immediately following the church.

Donations may be made at Nikollaq’s service to assist the family with funeral expenses.
