Michael J Curran Jr. of Whitman passed away peacefully on December 18, 2022.  Michael was born and raised in Boston, attended Boston College High School and went on to attend Boston College and then acquired his Master’s degree at the Boston College School of Management, thus making him an acclaimed “Triple Eagle”. He worked for many years as an independent consultant before marrying his beloved wife, Anne Marie, and then settled in the south shore.

Michael was very involved in his community, especially his local Parish, Resurrection Church of Hingham where he was a Eucharistic minister for many years. Before that he was a Captain in the US Army and served honorably in the Vietnam War for his country.

Michael is survived by his wife, Anne Marie (Healey), his siblings, Mary Doyle of South Weymouth, Francis Curran and his wife Jackie of Maryland, Martin Curran and his wife Myriam of Plymouth, Kathleen Kelley and her husband Brian of South Weymouth, and the late Richard Curran of Weymouth. Michael is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and several god children.

Michaels family would like to thank the staff of West Roxbury Veterans Hospital, especially the SICU unit and Dr. Weiner for their exceptional care of Michael.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Michael on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 10am to 11:30am in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. Weymouth (Columbian Sq.). A funeral Mass will take place at the Saint Francis Xavier Church in Weymouth at 12pm immediately following the visitation. Burial for Michael will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude using the link provided on this page.
