Mary Suzanne Oldmixon
Beloved sister, devoted aunt, and treasured friend.
Mary Suzanne Oldmixon, 59, of Weymouth, MA, died peacefully in her home after a brief illness on December 1, 2022.
Mary was born May 10, 1963, in Princeton, NJ, to William and Suzanne Oldmixon. She was a graduate of Wellesley High School (1981) and Boston College (1986), after which she had a long and highly successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. An avid adventurer, she traveled the world extensively. Her favorite trips were to New Zealand and Turkey, but she also loved a quiet weekend in Nantucket or New Hampshire. She was brilliant, kind, and generous, with a wry sense of humor. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She also loved reading and musical theater, and she was endlessly curious.
She is survived by her sisters, Carol, Cathryn, Joan and Elizabeth, her brother and sister-in-law, William and Kaoru, and her cherished niece and nephew, Sam and Sophie. Preceded in death by her parents, she is also survived by a loving extended family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Mary on Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 3-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church in Weymouth at 10am. Burial will immediately follow in Couch Cemetery, Marshfield.
