Mark C. Dyson

Mark C. Dyson, age 66, of Weymouth passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023. His family is so sad to say goodbye to Mark, such a unique human being who lived most of his life in S. Weymouth. He attended St. Francis Xavier Elementary, Weymouth South High School, and received his bachelor's degree from Emerson College.

Mark worked in retail sales most of his life retiring from Macy's in 2020. Mark would appear quiet, mainly because he was a great observer, but he definitely had plenty to say. If you understood his dry, sly but gentle humor, he was truly the funniest person you would ever meet.

Although not one to get the party started, he did host his share in his time and you'd always be glad you invited him to yours. He loved his home but enjoyed travelling. He could roll his eyes or give you a look but was always polite. Mark was appreciative of kindness, humor, and life in general.

All in all, Mark was a gentleman, a class act, and a great guy.

Mark leaves behind his sister Eileen Elmore and her husband Richard, his brother Stephen Dyson, and his lifelong friend and brother in all but name Brian Gingras. He is also survived by his aunt Anne (Barrell) Grant, his niece Brianne Dyson, his beloved cat Esmeralda, and many wonderful cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Mark on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA 02190. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 7pm. Cremation will follow.
