Maria J. Dexter

Maria J. Dexter(Green), age 82, of Weymouth, passed away on October 7, 2024. Maria was born in Boston, raised and educated in the North End. She earned her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Massachusetts Boston and then went on to teach for a few years. She ultimately decided on a career at the MBTA, where she was employed for most of her working life. In her spare time, Maria enjoyed cooking and was great at it. She also enjoyed knitting.

Maria is survived by her loving son John Dexter and his wife Lisa, of Weymouth. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jack and Sabrina  Dexter. Maria was also loved by her sister Joan Vento and her husband Michael. She will be missed by her nephews, Michael , John and niece, Nicole Vento.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Maria on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 11-12pm, in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A funeral service will follow immediately the visitation, in the funeral home at 12pm.
