Lois M. Egon (Peterson), age 84, of Weymouth, passed away on June 6, 2024. Lois was born in Boston, and educated in Braintree, graduating from Braintree High School in 1958. After high school she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for a time until moving on to working in customer service at Talbots for the bulk of her career. She married the love her life Rolf in 1969 and the two settled in Weymouth, where they raised their daughter, Kristen.

Lois loved oil painting, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and spending time with her family. She frequented the Weymouth Whipple Center and was a member of the Naughty Needlers Club.

Lois is predeceased by her beloved husband Rolf Egon. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kristen Conway and her husband, Shawn, of Weymouth. She was also loved by her grandchildren, James Bennette and his wife, Heather and her great grandchildren, Jimmy Bennette and Noah Bennette. Lois will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Lois on Thursday June 13, 2024, from 5-7pm, at the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St.(Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A funeral service for Lois will be held the following morning at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will be at Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society https://www.nationalmssociety.org/ and the Alzheimer's Association https://www.alz.org/
