John McLeod

 John R McLeod, aged 76, passed away on April 4, 2023. John was born in Boston. He was raised and educated in Dorchester, graduating from Dorchester High School in 1964. After high school, John enlisted in the US Navy and was in the service for four years.

John married his beloved wife Janet in 1975, the two lived in Quincy for a short time before settling in Weymouth, where they lived for 23 years, and raised their loving family. John often loved taking trips to Las Vegas with his wife Janet. When home. He also enjoyed playing golf, tending to the family pool, and watching his favorite New England sporting events.

John is survived by his beloved wife Janet (Venuti). He is also survived by his loving children, Heather McLeod, and her partner Scott Kelly of Braintree, Keith McLeod, of Quincy, Cory McLeod, and his partner Amanda Gentile of Taunton, and Katie-Lyn McLeod of Weymouth. John was also loved by his sixteen grandchildren and his siblings, Ronald McLeod, Christine Delano, and Bruce McLeod.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for John on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 10am to 12pm, in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth. A funeral service will take place immediately after the visiting hours in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital and to Saint Jude, using the links provided on this page.
