Janice McClellan of Weymouth left the party on December 21, 2022 at the age of 80. Janice was born in Baltimore, Maryland, raised in Boston and Weymouth, and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1960. After graduating from high school she attended The Chandler Business School where she earned a degree in business. She married her beloved husband James in the fall of 1963 and they then eventually settled in Weymouth and started their family.
Not only a gifted homemaker, Janice was a trailblazer during her time at Dunkin Donuts.
But her years there were but a warm up to the good times at South Shore Hospital. Books can be written of those days.
She loved going to the movies, restaurants, beaches and pools. Not to mention her various travels, both domestic and international. Iceland was a particular favourite.
Janice was an avid fan of films from the 1970’s, she also enjoyed watching various television shows, her favorites being Judge Judy, Star Trek, Hill Street Blues and Gibbs!
Also an avid reader. Favourite books being “Valley of the Dolls” and of course, “Helter Skelter”
Janice also loved cats.
Janice is predeceased by her husband James E Jr, she survived by her sons, James McClellan of Weymouth, Derek McClellan and his wife Marisa(Wallace) of Winthrop, her siblings, Nancy Brennan and her husband Mark of Weymouth, and the late Robert Olinto. Also many neices, nephews, and everyone else who ever knew her.
She had many, many friends. Especially, in these last months, Kate Ryan Blake and Cindy Baker Kelly. Absolute angels.
Burial for Janice will be private per her wishes. In lieu of flowers save up for a “time” to be held in the spring.
