James A. Webb Jr., age 66, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024. Jim graduated Rockland High School in 1977. He immediately started working at the Codman Factory in Rockland where he stayed for 12 years. Jim was a hard worker and has had multiple jobs including night cleaning at Shaws, factories, and Quirk Auto Auction and Quirk Wholesale for 16 years. His last job resided at Ocean State Job Lot in Weymouth. He was proud of his accomplishment awards as Employee of the Month at Quirk and Ocean State. He will be missed by many.
Jim enjoyed trips to Canobie Lake Park, Six Flags, Nantasket beach, beaches at Cape Cod and a good fireworks display. He also loved going out to eat especially at the Chateau or the 99. He loved all music, and going to see first run movies at the movie theaters. He loved life and telling jokes.
Jim is the son of James Webb Sr. and the late Eulalia Webb (Backlund). He is survived by his son Michael Webb and his wife Christina of Brockton, his granddaughter Sophia, and his siblings Kenneth Webb and his wife Lynne of Rockland, Stephen Webb and his wife Eliane of Abington, and Cheryl Webb deCourcy and her husband David of Rockland, fiancé Alexandra Santos. He is also survived by many nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Jim on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home Thursday Morning at 10am prior to a burial ceremony at Mount Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy at 11:30am.
