Helene V Carlson

Helene V. Carlson (Williams), age 87, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 17, 2023. Helene was born, raised and educated in Dorchester. She graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School in 1955. In 1957, Helene married the love of her life, Edwin J. Carlson and the two moved to Weymouth in 1964, where they raised their loving family.

Helene loved spending time with her family. She was very proud of her family and home, and kept their house perfectly organized and inviting. She loved to knit and solve jumble puzzles. In her younger years, she liked to bowl and golf, and joined a woman's softball league called The Elkettes with the Weymouth Elks Lodge. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Helene is survived by her beloved husband, Edwin. She is also survived by her children, Susan Maskell, of Mesa, Arizona, Judy Blumer and her husband, Dietrich, of Rockford, Michigan, Kathy Sandberg, of Mesa, Arizona, Eddie Carlson and his wife Luz, of Plymouth and Laura Hutchinson and her husband Ross, of Merrimack, New Hampshire. Helene is predeceased by her granddaughter, Sheena. She is survived by her grandchildren, Phillip, Alyssa, Amanda, Jackie, Andrea, Jacob, Tyler and Emma, and great grandchildren, Arley and Mercer. Helene will also be missed by her brother Roger Williams and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Helene on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 3-7pm, in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather the following morning inside the funeral home for a Funeral Service for Helene at 10am. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope in Weymouth.
