Frances Mae Stephens (Call), age 98, of Weymouth, passed away at Pope Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.
Frances was born in Quincy and enjoyed her early life on a farm with her family. Her childhood was filled with animals whom she adored and memories she would fondly recall. A local show would even travel to put together pieces on farm life and all the animals. She graduated from Weymouth High School in 1943 before moving on to work at Bob's Donut Shop and then as waitress in the deli at Stop and Shop.
Frances met her husband Ralph Stephens through family and married in December of 1944. They enjoyed many beautiful years together where they would frequently attend dance classes like ballroom and line dancing. Frances and Ralph frequented the Canoe Club in Pembroke, traveling to Florida, and enjoyed many summers camping in New Hampshire. She was a very social and outgoing person, who loved raising her sons and was honored to help raise her grandchildren.
Frances is predeceased by her husband Ralph Stephens, son William H Stephens, and siblings Harry Call, Jr. and Richard Call. She is survived by her other son Ralph R Stephens and sister Virginia Caron. Her beloved grandchildren Michele Stephens-Martinez of Hanover, MA and Aaron Stephens of Brockton. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Mateo, Eleanor, and Angelica.
