Edward George Castro

Edward G. Castro – Edward George Castro, 83, of Port Charlotte, Florida, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Christine and son Michael, Ed is survived by his children Lisa, Tracy, Todd, and Christopher, his grandchildren Sam, Cameron, Madison, Jake and Emily, and great grandchild Cole, his brother Peter, sister-in-law Mary Gudolawicz, and brother-in-law John Brady.

Ed was born in Portugal and came to the United States as a child and as a young man, became a United States citizen. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ed worked as a spray dryer operator for many years before he and Christine retired to Florida. He was a man of deep faith and a man of few words with a quick wit and a dry sense of humor. His interests were many, especially his love for sports, listening to Elvis Presley, and watching the Oak Island series. He enjoyed sitting quietly outdoors taking in all that nature had to offer.

Ed’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service for Ed at 11AM on Monday August 19, 2024, at the Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery in  Weymouth.
