Edith Mary Hernon

Edith M. Hernon (Elliot), age 80, of Weymouth, passed away on February 20, 2024. Edith was born, raised and educated in South Boston, graduating from South Boston High School in 1960. She met her husband Franny in 1981, the two married in 1993 and settled in Weymouth. Edith worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant at South Shore Hospital for many years and enjoyed bowling in her spare time.

Edith is survived by her beloved husband, Francis Hernon, of Weymouth. She is also survived by her loving children, Margaret Dullea and her husband Joseph, of Hyde Park, Sandra Gillespie, of Maine and Patricia King, of Ohio. She is predeceased by her son Ronald King. Edith was loved by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.    Her best friend John Kenney

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Edith on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 11-1pm, in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St.(Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A service for Edith will follow immediately after the visiting hours, at 1pm in the funeral home.
