Edith A. Drago

Edith A. Drago (Butcher), age 82, of Braintree passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Edie was raised and educated in Quincy and graduated Quincy North High in 1959. She was a saleswoman and fashion consultant at Lord and Taylor for over 20 years. Some of Edie's best years were in her twenties when she was touring as a professional dancer in New York.

Edie married her beloved husband, Bob, in 1963 and they settled in Braintree where they have lived since. Edie was truly larger than life. She loved taking her grandchildren into Boston around Christmas time to see the displays. You always knew when Edie was in a room because her smile brought such special levity to those around her.

Edie is survived by her husband of 59 years Robert Drago of Braintree, her son Steven Drago and his wife Amy of Hanover, and her grandchildren Jim, Jack, and Marco. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services for Edith will be private for her family. She will be buried in Blue Hill Cemetery located in Braintree, MA.
