Dorothea E. Lolles

Dorothea "Dorothy" E. Lolles (Festa), age 97, passed away at her home in Florida on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Dorothy was raised and educated in Roxbury where she attended the Girl's High School of Roxbury. She left school to take care of her parents in 1944 and then married her husband, Michael, in 1950.

Dorothy and Mike started a family in Rockland then moved to Abington in 1965 where Dorothy lived until 2006 when she moved to Florida. Dorothy was involved in the Abington VFW Auxiliary where she made countless friends and memories. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, music, and crossword puzzles but above all else, loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Dorothy is predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Lolles, and her siblings Jennie Carty, Lee Mantel, Frances Snow, Marie Firenze, Anne Urbaschak, Frank Festa, Ralph Festa, Harry Festa, and Ruth Walsh. She is survived by her loving children Michele Barbagallo and her late husband Robert of Florida, Marlene Lolles and her fiance Chris Petitti of Ohio, and Michael Lolles and his wife Rhonda of Ohio, her cherished grandchildren Meghan and her husband Seth and Ryan, and her sister Joan Camillo. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Dorothy on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 10am-Noon in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A funeral service will take place at noon in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth.
