Donald Pineau Sr.

Donald Robert Pineau Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on October 26, 2023. Donald was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Braintree, graduating from Braintree High School in 1952. After high school, he joined the United States Army where he proudly served for two years during the Korean conflict. He married the love of his life Shirley (Pratt) in 1958 and the two settled in Weymouth, where they raised their loving family.

Donald worked for Armstrong World Industries as a Master Electrician for over thirty years. He was an active member of First Church in Weymouth and a volunteer for Father Bill's Place. He enjoyed playing cribbage and taking rides to the beach. Most of all Donald loved spending time with his family. He loved family vacations to the Cape, fishing with his sons, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Donald is predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Pratt) Pineau. He is survived by his sons, Donald R. Pineau Jr. and his wife Cheryl, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Paul Pineau, of Weymouth, Stephen Pineau, of Weymouth and Brian Pineau and his wife Jill, of Abington. Donald is also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah Dacey and her husband Nicholas, Kristen Pineau, Abigail Pineau, Leah Pineau, Charles Davis and his wife Claudia, Edward Vaughan, Kristina Pineau, Daniel Griffin and his wife Michaela, Kyle Pineau, Michael Pineau, Calli Pineau, Cameron Pineau, and Summer Pineau. He was also loved by his great grandchildren, Lilah Griffin and Ernesto Davis.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Donald on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 4-8pm at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral home, located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A funeral service will be held the following morning at 10am at First Church, located at 17 Church St. in Weymouth. Burial will be private.
