Donald Wentworth Mayberger, of Quincy, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on August 2nd, 2024. Born in Marlborough, MA, Donald was raised in Natick and Westborough, and Hooksett, NH before making his home in North Weymouth, Hingham and finally Quincy.

Donald served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1966 aboard the USS Decatur and USS Myles C Fox. After his service, he met and married Gail in 1967, and together they built a life filled with love and generosity. Donald’s dedication to his family was unwavering, and he was a steadfast partner to Gail until her passing in 2020.

He worked in the printing industry as a skilled lithographer where his craftsmanship and attention to detail were greatly valued. He was owner of DMG Printing and Wally's Print of Weymouth. In addition to his professional achievements, he was known for his easygoing nature and generosity. Donald loved the water, often finding peace and joy by the shore. He was also a talented handyman, taking pride in projects such as building a TV and assisting those around him with his practical and technical skills.

Donald is survived by his son, Chris Mayberger, and daughter-in-law, Michelle, of Abington, MA; his granddaughter, Sarah; and his siblings, Kenneth Mayberger and partner Pennie Crawford of Tucson AZ, and Carolyn Mayberger McGee and husband Kenneth of Eliot ME, as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Kimberly Dawn and his wife Gail Bifolchi Mayberger.

Donald’s kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand touched many lives, and he will be remembered for his generous spirit and loving nature.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Don on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 9-11am in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. There will be a funeral service in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 11am followed by burial at the Bourne National Cemetery located in Bourne, MA.
