Dolores P. Murphy

     Dolores Patricia (Mento) Murphy, of Braintree, formerly of South Weymouth, passed away March 31,
2023 at the age of 76. Dolores was born, raised and educated in Boston where she graduated from Saint
Patrick’s High School in Roxbury and then studied to become a legal secretary. She settled in South
Weymouth where she made a home and raised a family. When she resumed her career, Dolores
achieved a degree in criminal justice at Quincy Junior College. She worked for the Massachusetts Land
Court in Boston as a docket clerk.

    Dolores enjoyed reading, writing and long walks at the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the loving mother of the late William “Billy” Murphy of South Weymouth and Laura Prezioso who resides in Pembroke with her husband Robert and son Vincent.

   She was predeceased by her brother Vincent Mento of Clearwater, Florida and her parents Leo
and Frances Mento of Braintree. Private services will be held at C.C. Shephard Funeral Home in South
Weymouth on Tuesday, April 11 followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth. She
will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery in South Weymouth beside her son, Billy. Donations in lieu
