Claude "Bob" Stone

Bob Stone passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on September 5, 2022. Bob was born in Enfield, NH, moved to Hingham at the age of 7 and attended the Weymouth Vocational High School, graduating in 1951. He proudly served his country in the Army for 8 years including a tour in Korea. He met his beloved wife Mary soon after. They married in 1960 and settled in Weymouth where they raised their loving children, Lori and Robert. Bob worked for 35 plus years at Hendrie’s Ice Cream as a refrigeration supervisor.

Bob loved spending time with his family at their beach house in Hull and boating, a legacy he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed lobstering and always wanted help with any home improvement project his children needed assistance with.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Mary (Santorelli), his daughter Lori Wilhelm and her husband Joseph “Gus” of South Weymouth, Robert Stone and his fiancé Jessica of South Weymouth. Bob is also survived by his grandchildren Shauna, Danny, Jared, Patrick and Devon. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

Visiting hours for Bob will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 4-8PM at C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, Ma. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 13,2022, at 10AM at Saint Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
