Christine Claire Karaska, age 68, of Weymouth, passed away on October 28, 2024. Born on August 20, 1956 to Mary Claire (Ennis) Karaska and the late Gerald Karaska, Christine was the oldest of four children. She attended UMASS Amherst and Clark University for Undergrad, and Boston College for her Graduate Degree in Social Work.
Christine spent her early career focused on supporting women through domestic violence work. Starting at Daybreak, Inc and then Catholic Charities in Boston and on the South Shore, she was instrumental in helping women and children build safe lives, and spent years advocating for these ideals. It was this devotion that led to her life long career as a guidance counselor at Snug Harbor Elementary School in Quincy, MA.
She was an avid reader and beach goer, and filled her life with adventure. Traveling to Hawaii and Europe, and across America, she was always planning a new trip, and looking forward to spending as much time as she could on a beach.
Friendship was always a major factor in her life, as she maintained close relationship with friends from high school, college, and her early working days.
Christine is predeceased by her husband Robert Dullea, and survived by her daughters Maeve and Kate, her siblings Susan, Mark, and Carl, and their spouses, her mother Mary Claire, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a later date.
