Charles T. Crooker Sr.

Charles "Charlie" T. Crooker Sr., age 84, of Brockton, passed away on August 27, 2024. Charlie was born in Brockton, raised and educated in Quincy. He married the love of his life Carole in 1960 and the two settled in North Weymouth for almost thirty years, where they raised their loving family. Charlie worked in maintenance for many years. Later in life he took a job that he loved at the West Bridgewater Country Club as a golf starter.

Charlie was an avid golfer. He enjoyed gambling and travelling but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Charlie is predeceased by his beloved wife Carole (Cheney) Crooker and his son in law, Matthew Cox. He is survived by his loving children, Charles "Butch" T. Crooker Jr. and his wife Suzanne, of Holbrook, Carole "Carrie" E. Johnson and her husband, Michael of Scituate, Cynthia "Cindy" Cox, of Foxboro, Cathy Manley and her husband Scott, of North Clarendon, VT. and Carl Crooker of Brockton. Charlie was loved by his grandchildren, William "Billy" Gardner and his wife Amanda, Kevin Crooker and his wife Jessica, Ryan Crooker and his fiance Morgan Upham, Nicholas Cox, Elizabeth Cox, Taylor Manley, and Morgan Manley. He will be missed by his great grandchildren, Cameron Gardner, Savannah Gardner and Caroline Crooker.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Charlie on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 12-2pm, in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visitation, in the funeral home, at 2pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, do something kind for someone or donate to a charity of your choosing.
