Catherine (Klier) Finnie

Catherine (Klier) Finnie of Tacoma WA formerly of Weymouth passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2025. Catherine was raised and educated in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School with the class of ’04. She went on to attend Western New England College and achieved her degree in ’08. Upon graduation, Catherine worked at Boston College Alumni Department, then on to Harvard Law Review. She then took a position at S&P consultants in Braintree. She continued with IT positions in Tacoma at York Construction Co. and then with the Tacoma Early Intervention program. 

Catherine was a fun-loving woman with a big heart. She had a quick wit and an ability to make everyone laugh. Catherine enjoyed playing the piano, singing and theater arts. She was very involved with the drama program when she was in high school, performing in many productions, and continued to stay involved while in college as part of an improv group. She also enjoyed performing in several summer shows as an alumni to her high school drama program in her adult life. Catherine was a kind and considerate soul who touched so many people in her life, and she will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends and colleagues.

Catherine was the beloved daughter of Paul and Barbara Klier of Weymouth. She was the loving mother of Charlotte Finnie of Abington. She was the sister of Jacqueline Stockton, her husband Nathan of Weymouth, Jennifer Grondell, her husband Joshua of Norwell and her nieces and nephews Molly, Alex, Decklan and Vienna. Catherine also leaves behind her maternal grandmother, Clare Dyer, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation in memory of Catherine on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 4-7PM in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at the St. Francis Xavier Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at a later date.
