Barbara Ann Garland

Barbara Ann Garland (Farrell) aged 76 of Weymouth, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Barbara was born in Boston and raised in Quincy, where she attended Quincy High School. After graduating from high school, Barbara worked for New England Telephone for many years. After her retirement Barbara worked for Eastern Bank. She lived in Newton NH, Melrose, Malden, and eventually settled in Weymouth after retirement to be closer to her beloved grandchildren.

Barbara was an avid quilter, enjoyed reading and taught CCD classes at Immaculate Conception Church. Her family meant the world to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her loving son, Philip Garland of Weymouth, her grandchildren, Thomas, Connor, and Abigail. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Sally Furlong, and Grace Liddell. Barbara was predeceased by her siblings Edwina “Bonnie” Harris, William Farrell, James Farrell, Dennis Farrell, and Marc Farrell.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Barbara on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 10:30am, in the Immaculate Conception Church located at 1203 Commercial Street, Weymouth MA.
