Anita Schuster

Anita L. Schuster, age 95, formerly of Holbrook, passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Anita was born, raised, and educated in Roxbury where she graduated in 1946 from The Laurel School for Girls in Roxbury. She worked at Hudson's in Boston, where she developed a keen interest in fashion and became known for her impeccable sense of style.

Anita started a family in Everett then settled in Holbrook where she raised her family. She was a hard, motivated worker for her family. She worked at Hermitite Manufacturing for 30 years and then the Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital for an additional 10 years. 

Anita was active member of St. Joseph's Church in Holbrook where she was a long time member of "The Josephines", a group who helped the church with events. 

She approached every challenge with incredible strength and a constant smile, bringing warmth to all who knew her. As a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother her family was her greatest pride, and her love for her sisters and friends was boundless. Her kindness, resilience, and joyful spirit will forever be remembered.

Anita is survived by her children, Joseph Schuster and his wife Karen of Plymouth and Elaine O'Brien and her husband Michael of Norwell, her grandchildren Michael and his wife Kaitlin O'Brien, Megan and Adam Florczak, Pamela Schuster and Chris Haverstock, and Jennifer and Steve Lester, her great-grandson Theo, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Anita on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 9-10am in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Mass will take place to celebrate Anita's life immediately following the visitation at 11am at St. Francis Xavier Church in S. Weymouth. Cremation will follow.
