Phylis M. Awalt

Phylis M. (Rogers) Awalt, age 58, passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton on September 6, 2011. Phylis is survived by her husband, Don Awalt, her 3 children Becky Rogers of Rockland, Deven Awalt of Whitman and Dawn Sesock of Whitman and her 3 grandchildren, Nicole Awalt, Amanda Sesock and Christine Sesock all of Whitman. She also leaves her brother, Arthur Rogers of Weymouth and her sister, Patricia Schembari of Hanover. Phylis was born in Boston, grew up in Weymouth and has lived in Rockland for the last 15 years. She was the first woman top welder for General Dynamics in Quincy for 5 years before staying at home to care for her family. A Funeral Service will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday September 10 at 10 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in Village Cemetery in Weymouth.
