Rita M. Czochanski

Rita (Tighe) Czochanski, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on July 29th after a short illness.
Wife of the late Stanley E. Czochanski, Rita is survived by her four children Kate and John Czochanski of Weymouth, Peter Czochanski and his wife Joy of Watertown and Jody Kilroy and her husband Bernie of East Bridgewater and five grandchildren, Melissa and Meryl Czochanski, and Ryan, Alex and Matthew Kilroy. She was also "Aunt Dita" to many nieces, nephews and their children.
Rita was born in Weymouth and worked as a Secretary/Bookkeeper for Ricky Smith Pontiac for 25 years and later at Talbots in Hingham.
She enjoyed travel both when her husband was in the Navy and "Elderhostel" after retirement, as well as winters at Fort Myers Beach.
Rita also loved line dancing, tap dancing, frequent trips to the library and was an accomplished knitter in the knitting club at the Weymouth Whipple Center. She also loved puttering in the yard.
Losing at Pirate mini golf yearly to her grandsons at her Cape Cod condo was also a favorite. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, on Wednesday August 3 from 4 to 7:30 P.M. Immediately followed by a Prayer Service at the Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M.
