James E. Peckham Sr.

James E. Peckham Sr., age 79, passed away at Weymouth Health Care Center on Saturday, July 2, 2011 after a long illness. He is survived by his six children: James E. Peckham Jr. of Weymouth, MA; John F. Peckham of Mt Pleasant, SC; Susan M. (Peckham) MacNeil of Spencer, MA; Sharon L. (Peckham) Bear of Weymouth, MA; Jeffrey M. Peckham of Edgewater, FL; and Jay R. Peckham of Weymouth, MA. He also leaves his grandchildren, several sisters and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mr. Peckham was born in Weymouth and lived there for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and was retired from the Weymouth Fire Department. He enjoyed family pictures and cooking and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.
A Funeral Service will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday July 8 at 10:30 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Thursday 4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:30 P.M.
