Barbara E. Manganiello

Barbara E. (deCourcy) Manganiello, age 58, passed away at the Tufts Medical Center on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Barbara is survived by her husband of 33 years, Frank Manganiello, her son Matthew Manganiello of Weymouth, her parents Dianne and Arthur Todd of Weymouth, her three step-sons, Paul Manganiello of California, Douglas Manganiello of Marstons Mills and James Manganiello of Sandwich and several step-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister, Coreen Winters of Athol. Barbara was born in Renton, Washington and was a life long resident of Weymouth where she graduated from Weymouth High School, received a Bachelor’s Degree from Bridgewater State College and her Master’s Degree from Leslie College. She was a teacher at the Abigail Adams School in Weymouth, where she taught grades 5 through 9 for 35 years before retiring in 2009. Barbara was a member of the Weymouth Teacher’s Association and the Massachusetts Teacher’s Association. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Tuesday May 10 from 3 to 5 P.M. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to the Old Derby Animal Hospital, 40 Recreation Park Dr. Hingham, MA 02043-4206.
