Kathleen Coyne

Kathleen (Murphy) Coyne, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 23 with her family at her side. She was born in Portlaoise, Co. Leix, Ireland and lived in Dorchester and Quincy before moving to South Weymouth. Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Coyne and is survived by her 2 daughters. Angela Morrison and her husband Robert of South Weymouth and Theresa Cummings and her husband Kenneth of Braintree. She also leaves her sister, Angela Wainwright of England, her cherished grandchildren, Kevin Morrison, Jeannine Hixon, Patricia Bonner and Daniel Gillis, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews here and back in her beloved Ireland. Kathleen is predeceased by her loved son, John Coyne, her cherished grandson John Gillis, her sisters Chris Doody and Gert Murphy who most recently passed along with many other brothers and sisters who have gone before her back in Ireland. She retired from the Executive Dining Room of the John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston. The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday, January 28 at 10:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 261 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 11:30 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in the New Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
