William R. Facella

William R. Facella Sr. age 66, passed away at the Brockton Hospital on Monday December 21, 2010. Bill was the loving husband for 43 years of Sandra (Griggs) Facella, the father of Sherri Blackstone and her husband Paul of Whitman, William R. Facella Jr. and his fiancée Jillian Clark of Winter Garden, FL and Robert Facella and his wife Dawn of Braintree, and the grandfather of Troy and Britney Blackstone both of Whitman and Anthony and Gregory Facella both of Braintree. He also leaves 4 nieces. Bill is predeceased by his brother Anthony J. Facella Jr. He was born in Boston, grew up in Weymouth, graduated from Weymouth Vo-Tech High School in 1963 and was a long time resident of Whitman. He was a Cable Splicer for New England Telephone Company from 1963 to 1968 before becoming a truck driver / dock worker and member of Teamster’s Local 25 and worked for Schuster and Pilot Freight Company from 1968 to 1987. A Funeral Service will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday December 27 at 11 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M.
