Jeannette (Corthell) Neal, age 82, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the South Shore Hospital after a long illness. Jeannette was the wife of the late Walter Neal, owner of Wally's Print in South Weymouth. She is survived by her son Bruce Corthell and his wife Carole of South Weymouth, her three grandchildren Haley Corthell of South Weymouth, Cory Bousquet of Abington and Jamie Bragdon of Sanford, Maine. Jeannette was also survived by her sister Elizabeth Ladas of Duxbury, her niece Barbara True of Plympton and many more nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Robert Corthell, Erville Corthell, Grace Maher, Alice Merson, Phyllis Nelson and Barbara Landrey. Jeannette was the second youngest of eight children born and raised in Hingham and had resided in Weymouth for over 50 years. She was formerly employed by South Shore National Bank and Woolworths in Quincy Center. A Funeral Service will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square) S. Weymouth on Thursday, December 9 at 10:30 a.m. Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
