Helen “Lee” Gallagher, age 65, passed away on November 8th at home surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia. Loving wife of forty-three years to Frederick “Rick” Gallagher of South Weymouth, Loving mother of Robin Gallagher of Scituate and Richard Gallagher and his wife Kristen of South Weymouth. Adoring Grandmother to Makayla Gallagher and loving “Grammie” to Wilson. Helen was the daughter of the late Margaret “Peg” Spicer and sister of Gail Bernard of Canada, Sandra Molinari of Florida and the late Rick Spicer of Norton. Helen also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Helen was born in Dedham, Ma and lived there until she married her husband and made her home in South Weymouth. Helen dedicated many years of her life to her work at CVS Pharmacy in Weymouth as a Beauty Advisor. Known by her friends and family as “Lee”, she had a beautiful way of giving to others and was a loving and devoted, wife, mom, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, gardening and being by the ocean. Funeral from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday, November 12th at 9 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in her honor at the Saint Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant Street, South Weymouth at 10 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Thursday, November 11th from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Helen’s memory to support CLL Research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Attn: Lynn Davidson, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
