Brian S. Lynch, age 76, a retired Naval Shipyard Employee and Korean
War Veteran died peacefully on Monday October 18, 2010 at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke, MA of Cancer and Alzheimer’s.
Mr. Lynch was a member of the Orchard Park Old Timers Club of Roxbury. He served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was born in Boston and was raised and educated in Roxbury.
Brian was the son of the late Patrick J. and Catherine T. (Mitchell) Lynch and is survived by his 2 sisters, Margaret M. Kramer and her husband Francis of Weymouth and Kathleen T. Logan and her husband John of Braintree. He also leaves 2 nieces and 2 nephews, Krysten M. Kramer of Foxboro, Matthew F. Kramer of Medford and Padric W. Kramer of Maynard and Jillian Woodworth of Chesapeake, VA and 3 grandnieces. Brian is also predeceased by his late sister, Sister Maureen Lynch, SC of Halifax and Wellesley and his late brother Thomas M. Lynch of Braintree.
The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday October 21 at 8 A.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Francis of Assisi Church, 850 Washington St. Braintree at 9 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 11:15 A.M. Donations may be made in Brian’s memory to the Soldiers Home, 110 Cherry St. Holyoke, MA 01040.
