Leon J. Comeau, 87, of Keene, NH died September 21, 2010. Mr. Comeau was born in Weymouth and also lived extensively in Randolph, So. Weymouth and Rockland before moving to NH with his wife Norma (Mains) Comeau. A graduate of Hyde Park H.S. he enlisted in the US Army in 1942 and was stationed on the South Pacific island of Tinian. After the war, he returned home to pursue a finance career where he became a well respected member of the New England Commercial Lending community. In 1987 he retired from South Shore Bank in Quincy as a Sr. Vice President. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Randolph, serving on various boards as well as the church choir where he was the featured soloist on Christmas Eve for many years. Together with his wife Norma, they traveled the world including Russia, China, Australia, the Amazon and most of Europe. He was also a long time Red Sox season ticket holder. In 2009, he and Norma celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary with a trip to Eagle Mt. House in Jackson, NH where they had honey-mooned in 1946. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a brother David Comeau with his wife Eleanor of FL and a sister Janet Stokes with her husband Norton of NH. He is also survived by two sons, Jonathan Comeau of Gaffney, SC and Peter Comeau with his wife Linda Kelly of Whitman, MA; and a daughter Deborah Busick with her husband Richard of Jaffrey, NH; along with 3 grand children and 5 great grand children. Visiting hours are Sunday, September 26th from 4-8 P.M. at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth followed by a funeral service on Monday, September 27th at the First Baptist Church, 528 N. Main St., Randolph at 11 A.M. with interment to follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
