Mark S. Pickering, age 55, passed away on August 13, 2010, at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health following a heart attack in 2009. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Pickering, his son, Cory Pickering, 18, and his daughter Kellie Pickering, 13, all of Abington. He was the son of Grace Pickering of Abington and the late Robert Pickering. He was the beloved nephew of Pauline Roberts of Quincy. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Pickering of Whitman, Gary Pickering of N. Weymouth, David Pickering of Palm Beach, FL, Donald Pickering of Pembroke and John Pickering of Milton and his sisters, Gayle Martz of Berwick, PA and Judy Kerr of Abington. He had many nieces and nephews. He was a special uncle to Justin, Jill, Bobby and Ellen Pickering all of Whitman. Mark worked in the manufacturing industry, most recently at FC Philips Corp. in Stoughton. He previously worked for Cosco Graphics in Randolph and Matthews International Corp. in Braintree. Mark grew up in Quincy and Weymouth. He was a resident of Abington for 25 years. He enjoyed the Red Sox, the Patriots, bingo, the ocean and spending time with his family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to Visiting Hours at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Tuesday August 17 from 4 to 7 P.M.
