Walter Pike, age 65, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Thursday May 27, 2010. Walter is survived by his wife, Gayle (Lovell) Pike, his 2 sons, David McIntyre of Hingham and Stephen Pike and his wife Heatha of Weymouth, his daughter Tina Davidson-Webb and her husband Jeff of Hingham and his 7 grandchildren; Amelia Pike of North Carolina, Jimmy Davidson of Hingham, Nicole McIntyre of Hingham, Alex Webb of Quincy, Kayla Faghan of Weymouth, Sean Pike of Weymouth, Alyssa Pike of Weymouth and Kyle Webb of Hingham, his sister Darlene Stuart of Weymouth and his brother Harold Pike of West Port, MA. He was born and grew up in Weymouth before moving to Hingham 40 years ago. Walter was a Long Haul Truck Driver for 16 years for Boston and Taunton Transportation Company, Road Way Trucking, Burke Industries and R. Gordon Trucking before becoming a Computer Technician for the Digital Company for 8 years. He retired in 1998. His greatest love was his grandchildren and was a diehard fan of the Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox. Visiting Hours will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Tuesday June 1 from 4 to 7:30 P.M. immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Walter’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St. 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
