Weymouth-Donald P. Lewis of S. Weymouth passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Saturday April 3, 2010 at the age of 84. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Virginia P. (Pearson) and his two children Donna L. Delahunt and her husband Matthew of S. Weymouth and Sandra H. Kelley and her husband David W. of S. Weymouth, Grandfather of Christopher Kelley and his wife Christina, Kendra Paolucci and her husband Joseph, Lindsey Cole and her husband Patrick and Matthew Delahunt all of S. Weymouth, Great Grandfather of Jake and Emma, also survived by several nieces and nephews, Son of the late Carl A.R. and Louise ( Barstow) Lewis, he was born in Arlington and lived in PA until 1938 and for the last 72 years resided in S. Weymouth, he proudly served in the U.S. Marines from 1943-1951 during WWII including serving at camp Lejeune 22nd Marines 6th Division and the S. Pacific. He attended Thayer Academy and Boston University. And was employed by the Peterson Linen Company in Braintree as a Driver/Salesman for over 25 Years retiring in 1986. He was Past President of the Weymouth Historical Society and a Member of Mass Arms Collectors. Visiting Hours for Don will be held on Wednesday April 7 from 4-7 P.M. followed by a Funeral Service at 7 P.M. at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Burial will be private in Lakeview Cemetery. Donations in Don’s Memory may be made to the Old South Union Congregational Church St. S. Weymouth 02190.
