Everett "Bill" Sloat

d. January 1, 1900

Everett C. Sloat, age 85, passed away at his home on Tuesday February 9, 2010. Bill is the husband of the late Patricia May (Shattuck) Sloat. He is survived by his 5 children, William D. Sloat and his wife Melva of Colonial Heights, VA, Stephen F Sloat and his wife Susan of Franklin, Daniel B. Sloat and his wife Sarah of Halifax, Cynthia M. Wolf of Mechanicsville, MD and Sarabeth Doe and her husband Mark of Lunenburg. Mr. Sloat is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Bill was born in Worchester grew up in South Weymouth and lived in Milton since 1964. He served his Country in the Army during World War II. Bill worked for White Brothers Milk Company in Weymouth and Bay State Ice cream Company in Abington as a truck driver and was a private Chauffeur for the Whitney family in Milton before becoming a Property Manager for Winter Valley Senior Housing in Milton. He wa a member of the Canton Bay statesman Barber Shop Group. Visiting Hours will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday February 13 from 1 to 4:30 P.M. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 4:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bills memory to the D.A.V., Room 546, State House, Boston, MA 02133-1042.
