Carole J. Sheridan

Carole J. (Wingrove) Sheridan, age 72, passed away at the South Shore Hospital after a long illness on Tuesday February 2, 2010. She was the wife of the late Ralph Sheridan who she met at a London Swimming Club. Carole is survived by her 3 children, Joanne C. Doherty and her husband John of Milton, John R. Sheridan and his wife Pamela of Weymouth and Peter H. Sheridan and his wife Kathleen of Weymouth and her 7 grandchildren Johnny, Matt and Megan Doherty and Andrew, Ian, Elizabeth and Bobby Sheridan. Mrs. Sheridan was born in London, went to Harrow County School for Girls, moved to the United States in 1968 and lived the last 41 years in South Weymouth. Carole was a Library Assistant for the Weymouth Schools and worked at Ralph Talbot School, Fulton School and Hamilton School before retiring in 2002. Mrs. Sheridan was an avid sports fan and loved attending her grandchildren’s sports events. She loved knitting and reading and was a member of the Weymouth Women’s Book Club. Carole was a member of the South Shore Mayflowers. A Funeral Service will be held at the Holy Nativity Church, 8 Nevin Rd., S. Weymouth on Friday February 5 at 10 A.M. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M.
