Braintree- William W. MacLennan, age 83, passed away at the Boston Medical Center on Tuesday December 1, 2009. Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Haroldine (Norling) MacLennan, his 4 children, Jean MacLennan-Cook of Weymouth, William H. MacLennan of Duxbury, Carol L. MacLennan of Weymouth and Robert W. MacLennan of Weymouth, his sister Eleanor Kronholm of Yonkers, NY and his 8 grandchildren. Mr. MacLennan was born and grew up in Quincy, lived in Weymouth for 19 years before moving to Braintree 33 years ago. William was a material coordinator for Itek of Lexington for 14 years before becoming a warehouse worker for Bradlee’s Stores in Braintree for 12 years retiring in 1990. Bill was a life time member and deacon of the Old South Union Church in S. Weymouth, a member of the Delta Masonic Lodge of Braintree, the Shriners of Boston, the Swedish Square and Compass Club of Newton, the Braintree Council on Aging and the Braintree Men’s Club. He also enjoyed Flower Gardening. A Funeral Service will be held at the Old South Union Church, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Friday December 4 at 11 A.M. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Masonic Service with the Delta Lodge of Masons of Braintree will be held on Thursday at 4 P.M. Donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the Old South Union Church 25 Columbian St. S.
